The Gap in Between 2025

Something old, something new, something blue.

The Gap In Between in Valencia has been pure inspiration. Third edition — and for me, the one where they’ve truly crossed a threshold.

Something old (but not really): the two queens leading the project. Margarita Albors y Marta del Castillo. I’ve known them for a while, and each year I admire them more — their clarity, courage and generosity keep shaping something that truly matters.

Something new: the extraordinary people I met this year —Juan Gabriel Aguiriano Nalda, Álvaro Hita or Gonzalo Miguel Gomez Lezcano

, to name a few— with whom I want to explore ideas, projects and, hopefully, adventures.

Something borrowed (let’s keep bending tradition): the people I already knew, such as Sergio Poblador Blanco, Carmen Martín, Cris "Q" Olmedo and Andres Sullivan, among others — and Oriana Gonzalez Villarroel - my wonderful former student from Fundación Botín — with whom I now know I want to build things.

The puzzle pieces are finally coming together… because this time, it’s the right puzzle.

🔵 Something blue: the stage, glowing in deep blue — a reminder of why we’re here: to design futures that include everyone, to move capital and imagination toward impact, and to make the game worth playing.

Because, in the end, hope is not naïve — it’s strategy, when shared.

🙏 Gracias a todos los que lo hicieron posible.

Lo azul sigue brillando.

May the force (for good) be with us.

P.S. Last but not least, seeing Francisco José Gan was the extra gift of coming to Valencia — colleague, friend, and a true example of public service.
